Low Level Labs
Engineering with ownership_
The company
Low Level Labs was founded on the belief that good engineering starts with understanding the whole system.
Hardware, firmware, mechanics, production and the environment in which a product operates cannot be treated as separate concerns. A decision in one area always has consequences somewhere else. Understanding those connections is what turns a working design into a dependable product.
The approach
Engineering means taking responsibility for those decisions. That includes asking difficult questions early, investigating problems to their actual cause and being honest about uncertainty.
The aim is not complexity for its own sake, nor the quickest possible prototype. It is to create embedded systems whose behaviour can be understood, explained and trusted.
The engineer
Low Level Labs is led by Luke van Luijn, an embedded-systems engineer working across electronic hardware, firmware, RF and low-power systems.
That broad perspective shapes the company: stay curious, work from evidence and never lose sight of the product as a whole.
